STONE, Barry David John
1935 – 2013
Barry passed away peacefully on November 9, age 78. Survived by daughter Tiffany (Carman); grandchildren Emory, Jewell and Kaslo; son Alex (Jen); and sister Patricia (Norman) and family in England. Predeceased by wife Janet, he was a longtime resident of Ladner. Born in Devon, England, Barry apprenticed as a helicopter engineer at Westland Aircraft in the early days of helicopters. Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson's in his thirties, he had a long and respected career, retiring after 30 years with Canadian Helicopters. Barry worked everywhere from Borneo (where he met and married Janet) to Greenland. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to everyone at The Madison. No service by request. Donations to www.parkinson.bc.ca are appreciated.
