RHEINHART, Clara ("Clare")
(August 21, 1920 - October 05, 2012)
Our beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother, Clare, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2012, at the age of 92. Clare was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and lived in Vancouver for most of her life. She was spirited, expressive, and fierce in her love of, and devotion to, her family. Her greatest joy came from sending everyone home after a family Sunday dinner 'stuffed to the gills' after one of her famous home cooked meals. Clare is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bill; her cherished daughter, Penny Rogers (Jim); her grandchildren, Sandra Haziza (Craig), Devon Rogers-Scorah (Ian), Andrea Rogers, and Jordan Rogers; and her great-grandaughters, Raine and Sierra Haziza; her sister, Marcella Armitage; and her sister-in- law, Jan Rothenbush. Special thanks to all her loving caregivers at Sunrise Senior Living Home, especially Joanna, Rocky, Virginia, and Christina who, along with her long time physician, Peter Quelch, always provided Clare with attentive and exemplary professional services. Clare's Funeral will be held on Friday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St Augustine's Catholic Church, 2028 West 7 Avenue, Vancouver, and will be followed immediately by a Reception in the parish hall to which everyone is invited. Should you wish, a donation in Clare's memory may be made to: Canadian Food for Children, 40 St. Georges Road, Toronto, Ontario, M8X 1L3.
