David DUNCALF

DUNCALF _ David, aged 69 of Coquitlam, passed away on December 13, 2003 at Eagle Ridge Hospital. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by Alice, his wife of 32 years; sons Paul (Marlo) and David; grandchildren Brittini, Travis, Tristan and Brooklyn; sister Mavis Beesley; many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. David emigrated from England in 1953 and worked until his retirement as estimator for a number of construction firms. He played a major role in the reconstruction of the Empress Hotel in Victoria in 1989. David was an avid lawn bowler and was a long time member of the Vancouver South Lawn Bowling Club. In 1986 he skipped his Fours team to a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 22nd, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Burnaby Funeral Directors, 4276 Hastings St., Burnaby. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
