SIXSMITH, Elizabeth (Betty)
Passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2012 surrounded by love. Betty was born in St. Boniface, MA on December 15, 1924 and made
her home in Coquitlam, BC for over 50 years. Predeceased by her husband Chuck in 2005, brother Charlie and sister Mabel. Betty will be greatly missed by her daughters Carol (Rob McMorran), Sharon (Peter Quitzau) and Gayle (Mat Zofrea); grandchildren Carly, Amanda, Scott, Trevor, Jordan and Jayme; dear 'sister' Joan Agnew and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. After the loss of her mother, Jean Forrester in 1987, Betty assumed the role of family matriarch which she fulfilled with great pride. Betty enjoyed travelling including cruises, bus trips and the occasional outing to the casino. She was also an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at the Residences at Belvedere (Coquitlam), Royal Columbian Hospital (New Westminster) and Laurel Place Hospice (Surrey) for the wonderful care provided to our Mom and our family during this difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Linda Curtis for her many years of care, patience and friendship. There is no memorial service planned at this time but a Celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date. Donations, if desired, may be made in Betty's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
