Ians' "Celebration of Life" really showed the love and admiration that everyone had for Ian. I will always treasure the good times we all had together in our younger days.

Krista, Ian´s eldest granddaughter lived with us for one year in Germany and we all got very close. Our three kids were devastated when she left for Canada again so we decided to come visit her family last August. The time we had toghether and the hospitality we experienced were undiscribable and are very greatful we had the chance to spend some time with Ian and Pat as well. Ian, Patrick and Marvin had very special moments together - Ian will be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.

When I learned that I wouldn't be seeing Ian's great smile again I felt sad. My strongest memories of Ian are from when I was a young boy growing up with David, Ian’s son.
Ian was one of the people that gave me an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoying every moment life has to offer.
Looking back we’re all fortunate to have loved and admired this charismatic individual who was never shy of offering his guidance and support to others.
Ian will be greatly missed by all of us in the Clarke family.

It was a great shock when we heard of Ian's passing. I have many early memories of Ian. I went to the football games and we hunted together on ocasion.
We are very sad for you Pat.

My Grandpa was a one of a kind man. Everyone saw that he lived his life the way he wanted to, but no matter what he was always there for his family. His heart was as big as his personality, his love, laughter, and wit filled any room he was in. His spirit will live on forever ,I'm going to miss you so much you handsome old bugger <3

Grandpa, you will be missed so dearly. I know you said you were always proud of us but I hope you know that I was proud of you. I always brag about your CFL days, about your lefse making abilities and about how great of a grandpa you were. I will miss you so much.

My grandpa was the best grandpa anyone could ever ask for. He was always there for my sisters and I and was always involved and interested in our lives. He was an extremely thoughtful in all that he did. He had an over the top loveable personality and left a wonderful lasting impression on everyone that met him. He was undeniably one of a kind.
I have so many wonderful memories with him and I will forever miss him and love him.

Pat and family
It was with great sadness that I read about Ian's passing. Ian was my first friend in Canada after emigrating from Scotland in 1948. We went through grade school at Inman Ave. then on to HS at Burnaby South together. Throughout the years we haven't seen much of each other but that didn't alter our friendship. All day I have recalling many happy memories and hope I get the chance to share some of them with you at his remembrance.
Kind regards,
George McRobbie
