Irene FLORKOW Obituary
March 8, 1928 - November 1, 2012
It is with love and great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene, a beautiful and talented lady with an incredible fighting spirit. Irene will be greatly missed by her loving family: son Ken, daughter in law Kim and treasured grandchildren: Nicholas (Emily), Mark (Veronika), Kevin; and son David. Last year she lost her loving husband of 62 years, Albert and has now peacefully joined him. Irene and Albert were loving and treasured parents, grandparents and friends. You were role models that strengthened your whole family - this was an incredible Gift to us, especially your Grandchildren, "the boys". You made your home a second home to the boys and taught them so many important values and lessons. Your passing brought such sadness.The gardens will wilt, the special recipes will never be cooked again, the beautiful hand knitted sweaters will have to last our lifetimes and the special sewing will not happen. Irene was an amazingly talented, skilled and wise person. We are all so grateful for the love, care, laughter, guidance and support you gave us for so many years. Mom/Grandma, you will be forever in our hearts and we will miss you dearly. There will be no formal ceremony; the family will hold a private family celebration of life.
