September 28, 1930 - June 9, 2018
Born in Blackfoot, Alberta on September 28, 1930 and passed away June 9, 2018 in the Abbotsford Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife Carol, daughters Debbie, Brenda, and son Darell (Leah), grandkids Trevor, Nathan, Hailley, Todd, Mylee, Vanessa. With a life full of energy and passion, Jay was a determined individual who had his own way of getting the job done. From driving a commercial transport truck up and down the Alaska highway to selling savings plans for Principal Trust Company, Jay always worked hard and provided for his family and was quick to help his friends when they needed it. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jay loved the outdoors and was most content when he shared his success stories around the kitchen table with his photos of these trips. Over 29,000 recorded games of cribbage with his partner Ralph, it was not uncommon to go to bed and wake up with them still playing cards the next morning. Our memories will last a lifetime and you remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. We love you and miss you dad. Your kids forever, Debbie, Brenda, and Darell. Please don't send flowers; no funeral by request. Please pause for a moment and send him your prayers.
