March 18, 1934 – April 16, 2013
The family of Jerry Raisen is heartbroken to announce his sudden death on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the age of 79 as a result of an automobile accident. Jerry was born in Saskatoon and moved with his family to Vancouver in 1944 where he attended Magee High School and UBC. He was a prominent figure in the automotive business for over 50 years where he had a great reputation and was known for his big smile. He leaves to mourn; his wife Marion, his daughter and son-in-law Abbe and Simon Chivers, son and daughter-in-law Joseph Barak and Kathryn Palumbo, and daughter and son-in-law Diana Kalef and Elliott Steinberg; grandchildren Alan, Peter, and Steven Chivers; Luca and Zoë Barak, and Jonah and Micah Steinberg; his sister and brother- in-law Lana and Mendy Landa; and many nieces and nephews, as well as Marion's children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Sam and Anne Raisen and his sister Miriam Buckwold. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
