With broken hearts we announce that Jo-Jo passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Lions Gate Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents Jack Miller Hewer and Germaine Marie-Anne Hewer, sister Jacqueline Anne Willcox (1995) and brother John David Hewer (2011). She will be sadly missed by her sister Janet Landucci (Robert), sister Jayne Hewer, sister-in-law Kathi Hewer, nieces and nephews: Chad Willcox, Kleo Landucci (John - David Murray), Ali Landucci, Rob Landucci, Carley Hewer, Jackson Hewer, great niece Beatrix Murray, great nephew George Murray, her cousin and great friend Diane McIver and dozens of cousins and relatives all across Canada. Jo-Anne will also be missed by her many close friends including her lawn bowling friends, the many pals on the North Shore Winter Club Curling Teams and her golfing buddies, all of whom she loved dearly. Jo-Anne attended BCIT and Capilano College to obtain certifications in Business Administration, Accounting and Office Management. Most of her career centered on the Lumber industry. Throughout her career she worked for Nova Lumber, Landucci Industries and AQ Timber. She was a Past President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. More recently she chaired the BC Provincial Masters Curling Championships (2009). Jo-Anne was a kind, warm, loving, generous, honest and adventurous person who loved people. Jo-Jo was all about laughing and having fun. She made everyone's life better for knowing her. She was the life of the party with an unrivalled sense of humour. More than anything she loved a great gotcha, travelling and spending time with family and her many friends. No one can ever forget the famous Jo-Jo laugh. In lieu of flowers or other charities, Jo-Jo would like your donation in her memory to go to help someone you love, laugh. Funeral Services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1150 Mount Seymour Rd, North Vancouver at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. A celebration of life will follow at the Seymour Golf & Country Club, 3723 Mount Seymour Parkway, North Vancouver. (across the street from the church)
