WATT, John
July 05, 1935 - January 03, 2013
Our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle and grandfather John has left us unexpectedly after a short battle with cancer. Sadly missed by wife Barbara, sons Steve (Karen), Gary and Martin; grandsons Ryan and Curtis, granddaughters Kelly and Laura and family in England - brother Albert, sister Marjorie and their families. John was from Liverpool, England and always had loyalties there – particularly the Liverpool football team (of which he was a staunch supporter) and Liver Bird affiliations. He was a printer all his life, working many happy years at Pacific Press. In England he worked for newspapers in Liverpool and Manchester. John also served in the British Royal Navy, and loved the sea. He was a caring family man who also cherished his friends. He loved to see the world and since retiring had travelled extensively, and was actually on a cruise when his illness started. He was a snowbird and looked forward to spending winters in Arizona with Barb, in the camper. He will also be missed by his extensive snowbird 'family'. Many thanks to the caring staff at V.G.H. We will miss you so much my darling. We will love you forever. A celebration of life service will be held at the Minoru Chapel (entrance off Gilbert, 1 block south of Westminster Hwy) in Richmond on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
