April 12, 1923 - July 10, 2012 Ken passed away on a sunny day in West Vancouver. He is survived by Shirley, his beloved wife of 57 years, and his four children - Susan (Tom), Debra (Randal), Brian (Irma) and Karen - and grand-children Jennessa, Lindsey, Jillian, Rigel, Jake, Maia and Luke. Ken was born in Toronto, served in the Canadian Air Force during World War II before attending University of Toronto. He subsequently settled in Vancouver where he worked for 28 years at McMillan Bloedel before pursuing a career in residential real estate. An avid outdoorsman, Ken enjoyed cruising the waters of Georgia Straight on the Wee Two, hunting in prairie fields and fishing the lakes of BC's interior. His kindness and dry sense of humor will be fondly remembered and missed. A memorial service will be held at West Van United church on Thursday, July 19 at 1pm, with a gathering of friends following. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are greatly appreciated.
