TANG, King Shen
April 24, 1927 - November 10, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of King Shen Tang, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on November 10, 2012. King Shen is survived by his wife, Wai Fong Tang, his sons Tony (Paula), Lawrence (Ferly), Eric (Fiona), and Simon (Kim) and his five grandchildren Marietta, Justin, Wesley, Alyssia and Landon. He is also survived by his 92 year old sister Wai Wan Tang. King Shen was born in Xin Hui, China and immigrated to Victoria, British Columbia in 1969, and later moved to Vancouver, British Columbia in 1970, where he co-founded his company Wah Loong Ltd. King Shen was a founding member and lifetime advisor of the Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association, founding member of the Vancouver Cathay Lions Club, honourary member of the Chinese Cultural Centre, and a Life Long President of the Nam Young Tong Association. Viewing to be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC. Services to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC. Donations to Vancouver General Hospital would be appreciated.
