To Larry's family and friends,
My condolences to you. I knew Larry as a bright fellow volunteer on the Coquitlam 'Disability Issues Committee', where he contributed on accessibility in particular. He put up a fierce fight over the termination of Chimo. He was also helpful in finding personal assistance for me once when I was "stuck".
He was considerate, caring and compassionate, and loved life, especially being with family members.
He had a keen sense of style.
I did not know he was sick, and will miss him.

Lawrence was a great man with a quick wit and easy smile. I first met Lawrence at UBC hospital in 1991 when we were both there for a treatment for our MS we have been friends all these years at Chimo and on the phone playing Jepardy and he always won!
Will remember and miss him
Mom will miss his chats too.
Our thoughts & prayers are with the family.

Dear Family,
I rember seeing Larry when he was a wee lad but too many years went by till I saw him again.
He came to Hamilton for a Feldman family reunion and I was truly inspired by his charm, spirit and courage.
My late husband Murray's mother was Larry's mom's first cousins.
I am truly sorry I didn't get to spend more time with him as I was very impressed when I did get to see him....a wonderful human being who will be sadly missed.
Fondly,

We first met Lawrence when he was fighting to save the Chimo Achievement Centre; the BCCPD assisted Lawrence in his valiant effort, but sadly he was not successful and the Centre was closed down. Lawrence kept in touch and we talked and emailed from time to time. He was a great guy and we were so sorry to hear about his passing. Our sincere condolences to his family and other loved ones. God Saw You… – Words of Sympathy
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, “Come to me”.
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.

I was very, very sorry to hear of Lawrence's passing and had hoped to visit him in hospice but only learned he was there shortly beforehand. I've known Lawrence since 1975, when he worked at College Printers and I was at The Ubyssey student newspaper at UBC. He was a great guy and he become a great advocate for people with disabilities as he battled MS. His fight to save Chimo Achievement Centre recently was inspiring. Lawrence will be sadly missed - condolences to all family and friends.
