AYOTTE, Marcel Joseph
September 19, 1934 – August 26, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel on August 26, 2013, with his family by his side. He fought a very courageous and brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 wonderful years, Gloria (nee Stewart), daughters, Brenda Roach (Daryl) and Bonnie, grandchildren, Andrew and Brittany. Marcel also leaves behind his brother, Ronald Ayotte (Marquise) of Gatineau, QC and sister, Jeannine Duffy of Ottawa, ON (predeceased by his sister, Claudette Godmaire, brother, Gerald Ayotte, mother Antionette and father Aime). Marcel will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby & Shirley Stewart (Orleans, ON), Terry & Janet McNulty (North Gower, ON), Ralph & Sharon Stewart (Osgoode, ON), Margaret Ayotte (Welland, ON), Aurel Godmaire (Montreal, QC) and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Dad was born and raised in Ottawa and moved his family to Surrey, BC in 1975. Dad was always a hard worker and spent many of his working years at Capital Wire in Ottawa/Vancouver and then Freightliner Trucks (Burnaby, BC). In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a donation to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation (specifically, the Surgical Program in recognition of the care received by Dr. James Bond and his team.) www.smhfoundation.com/donate.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 – 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC on September 6th at 2:00 p.m.
