McPHEDRAN, Margaret C.
October 7, 1925 - July 14, 2012
Margaret passed away peacefully at the age of 86. She was the loving sister of her brothers, Tait and Peter, who predeceased her. She will be lovingly remembered by her niece and seven nephews – Norm, Peter, Neil, Gord, Duncan, Cathy, Bruce and James – as well as great nieces, nephews and ALL who had the fortune of knowing her. Margaret was born in Saskatoon and spent her elementary and secondary school years in Calgary and Campbell River, but returned to Calgary for her post- secondary education. She was a lifelong learner taking many courses to enhance her skills for work as well as for the sheer enjoyment of learning. Marg spent her early career in Montreal. However, she couldn't resist the call of the West, and moved to Vancouver where she lived most of her adult life, residing in the West End. She loved this beautiful city and fully embraced its multiculturalism. She retired as office manager from the Lawson Lundell Law Firm where she spent 35 glorious years. There is no question that the Lawson Lundell lawyers loved Marg's organizational skills but surely would never want to "cross her". Margaret had a unique way of allowing every individual to feel accepted and valued. She was a most kind and generous soul, she dearly loved us all and we loved her. We will miss you Auntie Marg. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Sunrise for their love and care. If friends so desire donations in memory of Margaret McPhedran may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 300 - 828 West 8th Ave., Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E2 or 1-800-0667-3742.
