Monica Pringle Bryant Jantzen was born on July 21, 1918 in Uddingston, Lanark, Scotland and died on February 13, 2013 in Langley, B.C, Canada. She was a Canadian War Bride, having married Gordon Jantzen, who was serving in Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1940. She came to Canada in 1946 on the Mauretania II with Garry and settled in Victoria. Monica loved her friends and family and she was active in the Lady Lions and loved to travel and play golf with Gordon and her friends. She was a great entrepenuer, active in real estate with her partner Dorothy Torney. Afterwards, she ran a successful floral business, and then retired to Langley. She was also known for her sewing, knitting and painting. Monica was preceded in death by her husband Gordon and one grandson Christopher Jantzen. She is leaving behind her daughter Eileen and Peter Partridge of North Vancouver and her son Garry and Judy Jantzen of Hillsboro, Oregon plus five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Orangewood Estates clubhouse on 48th Avenue in Langley on the February 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All friends and family are invited to attend. Private internment will be held at the Langley Lawn Cemetery.
