  • "Neil Dorais, my good friend, although we've only known each..."
    - Sua Truong
  • "Dear Riley and family, Our sincere condolences to you all..."

Neil Arthur Dorais passed away on May 19, 2018 after a long struggle with ongoing health concerns. Neil is survived by his mother Noreen, brothers Riley and Brian, Aunts and Uncles, and all his cousins and friends. His dad Michael predeceased him in 2001.

Neil was the middle child of three boys and grew up in Surrey in a very supportive and loving family, living in a very unique close knit community we called 148 Street.

He was blessed with intelligence, a quick wit, athleticism and a big heart. He enjoyed playing soccer, riding his go cart, snow boarding, and dirt biking, all while running a very enterprising golf ball sale business in his spare time.

Neil graduated with honours from Enver Creek Secondary School and went on to BCIT to obtain his Diploma in Operations Management in 2008. He then obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from BCIT in 2011. He was employed with Royal Bank of Canada as a commercial loans manager until recently.

He is known for his tireless volunteerism and continued commitment to removing the stigma that hides mental health issues in our society today. He committed his talent and effort for many years to The Canadian Mental Health Association.

Neil was a good, kind man. We love him with all our hearts and know he is in God's hands now.

Neil's Celebration of Life will be held at Valley View at 14644 72nd Ave, Surrey on June 16 at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to CMHA BC.
