OMELUSIK, Nicholas Edward
B.A, B.L.S.
Passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Nick was born April 1, 1940, an only child to Nicholas and Helen Omelusik who immigrated from Russia in the 1930s. Nick is survived by his good wife Judy of 50 years, son Trann, daughter Kim, son-in- law Randy and his hero grandsons Devin and Nicholas. Nick's passion for books lead him to a happy career at the UBC Aquisitions and Law Library divisions for 39 years. Most of those years he gave back to the community umpiring Kerrisdale Little League baseball and refereeing youth soccer. He was fair with his calls and well respected. A celebration of life will be held July 22 at 4:30 p.m. at 4397 W. 2nd Ave, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or Children's Hospital would be appreciated. Rest in peace Nick and may the heavens surround you with more books than you could ever dream of.
