ABGRALL _ Raymond Elie It is with great sadness that we announce that Ray passed away on May 19, 2006 at Langley Memorial Hospital from complications following heart surgery. Ray will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Lucille, children Ron (Karyn), Claudette (Rich) and Richard (Anthony), grandchildren Rachel, Curtis and Jacen, his brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Ray was born on November 22, 1937 in St. Laurent, Manitoba and made his way to the west coast in the early nineteen fifties. Ray worked in sawmills on Vancouver Island for several years before making his home in Vancouver. He will be remembered for his warm gentle way, his commitment to family and friends, his work ethic and mechanical skills, his honesty, and his love of horses and horse racing. Customers and business associates will miss Ray at his latest and last venture as owner of Alternative Automotive Service in Langley, B.C. A service will be held on Friday, May 26 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Cloverdale at the Precious Blood Catholic Church (located at 17475- 59th Avenue). A reception celebrating Ray's life will be held in the church hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, we request donations to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Foundation.
