CHRISTIE, Robert Douglas Graham "Bob" "Biscuits"
January 18, 1930 - January 30, 2017
With heavy hearts and his loving family by his side. Bob leaves behind the love of his life, Colleen; his five children, Kathy (Rod), Doug (Jeanette), Bob (Deb), Scott (Rose), and Chris (Julie). He especially enjoyed each of his nine grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Bob was a well respected fireman and eventually Captain for the District of North Vancouver from 1956 to 1989. He retired as Assistant Fire Chief after 33 years of service. Bob will always be missed for his gentlemanly ways, his gentle smile, his warm heart and wonderful wit. We will also always miss the endless and lovely sound of Bob's singing and whistling. A celebration of his life is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Shorncliffe Resident's Activity Fund. Special thank you to all the loving care and kind words of the nurses, care aides, admin, kitchen and house cleaning staff at Shorncliffe. Bob touched everyone in his own way. There is another star in the sky tonight.
