GORMAN, Ronald
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald Gorman, loving husband, father, grandfather brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Laurel, children Katie(Jerry), Ron, Trevor(Gina) and Sharleen(Julio) and grandchildren Jordan, Lazarus, Landon, Reilly, Aidan and Neive. He is also survived by sisters Betty, Shirley, Maureen, and brothers Edward and Kenneth and many nieces and nephews. Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, he made his way to British Columbia at the age of 17. Ron worked a variety of jobs till he found his passion as a commercial fisherman, ultimately becoming the captain of the Arctic Ocean. Being a fisherman went hand in hand with Rons extremely social nature. He loved chatting with family and friends over a coffee and took a genuine interest in the lives of those around him. He often helped others with a kind generosity: encouraging/ supporting those he loved. He cherished the many friendships he made with everyone he met. A viewing with be held at First Memorial Funeral Home: Burkeview on Friday Sept 21, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 1340 Dominion Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC.
