The Guest Book is expired.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy Stefanko, age 84, on October 24, 2012. He went peacefully with his loved ones by his side. Roy is survived by wife of 62 years Violet, daughters Lori (Bruce) and Linda (Keith), grandchildren Fraser, Leighton, Teresa, Austin and Kelsey, sisters Diane and Bonnie, brother Wayne, auntie Annie and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his dearly loved father Alexander, stepmother Rose, and his brother Donald. Roy was born on January 25, 1928, in East Vancouver. After marrying his true love, they built their home in Burnaby where he remained. In the early days, Roy worked for Ferguson, Kenworth and Hayes Trucking Companies, until he opened his own private truck lot "Royston Truck Sales" on Kingsway. He later worked in industrial sales. Roy had a passion for antique cars and was a member since 1973 and president for three years for The Totem Model A & T Ford Club. He will also be remembered for playing his amazing music collection for many weddings and occasions including Expo '86. Roy loved his family, and was a talented musician, artist and dancer. His favourite song, "It's A Wonderful World," described his outlook on life. Roy lived to laugh and make other people laugh. There will be a Celebration of Life held at Burquitlam Funeral Home (625 North Road, Coquitlam) on Saturday, November 17, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to either the RCH Foundation or St. Michael's Centre in Burnaby.
