Ruth Spencer

Ruth Spencer July 21st,1924 - January 8th, 2013 Passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Ruth was born in Fertile, Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her wonderful husband Herb in 1998. She is survived by her daughter Debbie, son Terry (Kathy), granddaughter Jennifer, grandnson Paul (Courtni), great-grandkids Desmond, Desirae and Jack, and many nieces and nephews. In her time mom taught in a one room school house, sold ladies' wear at Hudson's Bay and Eaton's, worked at Kelly's on Seymour and ran a tight ship known as 1076 Montroyal Blvd. She loved a good laugh and was very active in curling and golf, she was a loving wife and caring mom. She loved to sing and we will all think of her whenever "St.Louis Blues" is played. I'm sure mom and dad are cutting up around the piano right now singing "Sentimental Journey" once again. Service will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 at Boal Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice.
