BLAIR, Thomas W.
July 1, 1922 - May 12, 2013
Thomas was born in Vancouver, B.C. and died at Burnaby Hospital as a result of pneumonia. He was blessed to have the undying love and support of his entire family throughout his final days. Dad was predeceased by Jessie, his wife of 62 years. Survived by his 4 children Margaret (Gary) Bergdal, Maureen (Bob) Thomeloe, George (Sandy) and Barbara Blair, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Dad was also known as "Bill" or "Cuz" by his 3 surviving cousins Norma, Maureen and Blair. Tom served during the Second World War in the RCAF and was always a proud veteran every November 11. He was a talented cabinet maker, carpenter and retired early from running his own business. His retirement years were filled with gardening especially tomatoes, wine making, stamp collecting and travelling with Jessie on cruises and visiting the four corners of the world which gave both of them so much pleasure. Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. Flowers gratefully declined; donations in memory of Tommy to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com.
