to brian, dianne, valerie and allyson; and all the family circle. i phoned christmas eve to speak with mildred, only to be told by the receptionist of her passing. i am shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of your dear mom, please be assured of my thoughts at this time, all the more poingant at this time of year. i corresponded over the last 3 years or so with your mom although i met her, and your dad some 30 years ago when they came to ireland. again, pauline and i met her at pearles in scarborough in 1989 whem we were on honeymoon. on that occassion she gave us a 'cree indian' mini- sculpture of a seal which we still have!i am pleased to have made contact with her again in the last 3 years of her life and corresponded bi-monthly in that time. my grandfather, bob hewitt and your grandfather, herbie hewitt were brothers and we still live beside 'the turnpike', the old homestead. dianne and valerie, i met you in 1999/2000.. remember? we went for a meal at the carngrove hotel one summer evening. my, thats 10 years or more now! time for a reunion i think! again so sorry for your loss, the news has saddened my christmas too, but you can take consolation from the long happy life your mom was blessed with. with love and sympathy, paul hewitt.
