DEACON, Florence Eleanor
January 31, 1913 - March 21, 2014
Florence passed away peacefully at Crofton Manor at the age of 101 years. She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur & Howard and her sister Eileen. Florence is survived by her brother William. Auntie Florence will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as an accomplished artist, musician and avid traveller. Her greatest gift was her devotion to teaching, beginning her extensive teaching career in one room school houses across the prairies during the 1930's and ultimately retiring from David Thompson Secondary School, Vancouver in 1978. Upon Florence's prior request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
