James Marvin Lawson February 3, 1938 - June 1, 2014 With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the sudden passing of James. He leaves behind his loving wife Ruby; children Jean, Sara (Gary), Art (Connie), Hilary, Carmen and Barb (George). He also leaves grandchildren Nick, Lucas, Kyle, Kandyce, James, Shalaine, Eddy, Shae, Riley, Lauren, Alden, Priscilla and great-grandchildren Daniel, Levi, Amaya and Skylar. James was predeceased by his brother Mort Mckay and his sister Elsie Barnett. James was born in Bella Bella, B.C. He attended Port Alberni Residential School, where he met Ruby Haines whom he married in 1959 after they both moved to Vancouver to further their education. James entered the fishing industry and became a well-respected skipper within the seine and trawl industries. James led a fulfilling life, in which respect and dignity were his guiding principles. James will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. A Service will be held at Delta Funeral Home on June 6th at 11:00 am.
