SASHAW, Bruce William
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Bruce William Sashaw, at the age of 57, on June 6, 2014 from heart complications. He is survived by his loving father, Lorne Sashaw and cousins, Carol Wilson, Dianne Matson and Keith Sashaw. Bruce was born and educated in Vancouver, B.C. BCIT was one of his schools. He was employed by the City of Vancouver, Streets Dept. where he attained the position of Project Coordinator. Bruce's dog, Leia, was his pride and joy; he adored her. Bruce was an outdoor enthusiast, travelling extensively by 4-wheel drive to many parts of the province. His second love was his cabin in Ruth Lake in the Cariboo and he spent most of his summers at the lake. He enjoyed making new friends and had great memories of the Cariboo which he shared with others. The Streets staff enjoyed his company and were great to him. Bruce was respected and liked by all who met him over the years in the Engineering Dept. He was friendly, caring and had a sense of humour. People would say "What a nice man". Many thanks to the ICU at Burnaby General Hospital. A Service to Celebrate Bruce's Life will be on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam.
