Roberta Copley

COPLEY Roberta (nee Kemp) June 24, 1927 - September 22, 2009 Robbie was born on a farm near Turtleford, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Ben O'Donneland and her parents. She passed away peacefully in the Vancouver General Hospital after a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer. She died in her 82nd year with her beloved granddaughter, Bridget Tonelli by her side. Robbie spent many years working as a server in North Battleford, Port Alice and in Vancouver. All who knew Robbie will remember her independent, courageous and quiet nature. We will also miss her laughter and sense of humour. Robbie is survived by her children Monty Tonelli and Carla Mobley, 7 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids, including her special great-grandchild Christian. She will be missed by her older sister Melva Madden and her nephew Clayton Maher, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Brock Farhni who compassionately cared for Roberta for the past 19 months. Service to be held Wednesday, October 7th at 10:30, Glenhaven Memorial, 1835 East Hastings with burial to follow at 1:30 at Victory Memorial Park at 28th and King George, Surrey, B.C.
