Dec 17, 1937 - Mar 17, 2012

With great sadness we announce that Ron has passed away. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Molly, his children Charlene, Caroline (Simon), Charles (Sara), Christian & grandsons James & Ryan who cannot express the void that has been created from losing such a bright and loving man.

His brother Hugh Louie, and sisters Gloria Kim, Merle Chong and Anne Chan mourn the loss of their spirited brother. His nephews, nieces, and their children will sorely miss his cheerful jokes and happy nature.

Ron's charismatic personality and tireless energy will be missed by all who knew him. His immense contributions to the community over the last 40 years ranged from being a soccer coach and Sun Run Walking Club Lead to being the President of associations such as PTA groups and Marpole Community Center. He earned his Volunteer of the Year Award many times over.

We will remember Ron when fighting for a good seat at the Bridge Club, when walking through his favourite routes picking a stray raspberry from a bush, and when holding our breath at weddings expecting him to loudly claim his right to serenade the happy couple. Not to mention how his loud voice never failed to make a baby cry.

His family appreciate his dedication throughout the years, from enthusiastically helping to sell girl guide cookies to being a late night ride in a pinch, no matter what the time or circumstance. He will be sorely and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Thurs March 22 at Canadian Memorial Church on 15th & Burrard, Vancouver.
