Amelia Caroline PLATER February 2, 1910 - November 2, 2012 Millie at the age of 102, passed away peacefully November 2nd with family by her side. Her peaceful passing is in keeping with who she was. Millie was born in Victoria, B.C. in 1910 and was a descendent of one of the early families to settle at Fort Victoria in the1850's. She lived most of her life in Victoria and in later years moved to Vancouver where for the past four years she was a much loved resident of Broadway Pentecostal Lodge. Remarkably, at age 82 she survived her battle with breast cancer. On November 2nd , having lived a full life and as she would often say, Nana took that "slow boat to China" to once again be with her true love "Papa" (Bill). Millie is predeceased by her husband Bill and son John. Her sons Daryl and David; daughter-in-laws Shirlee and Sharon; grandchildren Sonya, Paul, Sean (Carmelina), Dylan, Aaron, and Jody (Mark), and great grand children will dearly miss "Nana". The family will mark her passing with a private celebration.
