Hugh Campbell July 21, 1943 - October 31, 2012 On October 31, 2012, Hugh stepped into his boat and sailed off into the sunset. He was surrounded by his loving family, wife Catherine, daughter Kirstin (Shawn), grandson Ronan & son Christopher (Sarah). He is remembered by his large family, including his mother Josephine, and his siblings Virginia, Alan, Corinne, & Bruce. He is predeceased by his father Royden. Hugh was born and raised in West Vancouver. After teaching at Maple Ridge Secondary School for 9 years, Hugh moved with his family to Sidney in 1978. There he started his boat building business Winard Wood Ltd. Hugh retained his dry sense of humour and positive attitude throughout his illness, as he did in life. A celebration of life will be held at Capitol City Yacht Club, N. Saanich BC on Satureday, November 24th at 2-5 pm. Donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
