WILSON, Margaret (Peggy)
1921 - 2012
Peggy passed away peacefully after almost five years of struggling with declining health, in Victoria, B.C., November 18th, 2012. Born in Liverpool, England, January 28th, 1921, she came to Canada in 1946 as a War Bride after marrying her Canadian soldier, Bob (Reginald Robert) in 1944 in England. They settled in North Burnaby where Bob grew up, and raised their children, David and Valerie there. Mom spent fourteen years at the Lougheed Lanes Bowling Alley, where she provided child care to countless pre schoolers, many of whom referred to Mrs. Wilson as their first teacher! She loved children. Wanting a change, Mom then tried her hand at retail, working at Pennington's in Brentwood Shopping Centre where she took great pleasure in finding just the right outfit and coordinating accessories for her customers. She loved clothes and could always be counted on to be dressed smartly for any occasion. Predeceased by her husband Bob, in 2000, Peg is survived by her son Dave (Shirley),of Creston, B.C. and their daughters Jessica, Susan, and Lisa, and daughter Val (Dennis) of Victoria, B.C., and their children Sean and Erin. Family memorial service. Condolences may be sent to: In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C., #300-828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1E2 would be appreciated.
