It brings us great sadness to announce the passing of Wayne after a courageous battle with lung cancer, at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughters Leanne and Jena, brother Dale, grandchildren Paisley, Keenan and Trinity. Wayne was born and raised in Saskatchewan. His 46 year police career, with the RCMP and provincial government was spent in various parts of B.C. For many years, he dedicated his time to refereeing basketball in high schools. During his retirement years he enjoyed geocaching, travelling and watching the Canucks. He was an active member of Pacificaires Performing Arts Society-where Jena teaches dance. When his daughters were young, Wayne proudly supported Leanne's baseball and Jena's dance. We will cherish all the things you taught us, all the laughs you brought and all the things that made you YOU. We would like to thank the very caring staff at the Irene Thomas Hospice during Wayne's final days. At Wayne's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
