TAYLOR, Margaret Ellen
During the early morning of December 17, 2012, Margaret Ellen Taylor passed on peacefully in her sleep. Born in Derby, England on October 20, 1927, she came to Canada (via New Zealand) to settle permanently in Vancouver in 1963. Until her retirement in 2004, she worked as a dedicated travel consultant - loved by both clients and colleagues. Margaret is survived by her daughter Joy, her sisters Sylvia Hoff and Joy Aspell, her brother Maurice Hodgkinson and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Amongst the many deeply saddened by her transition are her long-time best friend Edwina and her very dear friends at Queen's Gate. Margaret's greatest happiness came from making others happy. She must have been a glimmer in W.B. Yeats' poetic eye when he wrote: "There are no strangers here; only friends you haven't yet met." She welcomed everyone into her world and ensured they were all the happier for it. You are much loved, Margaret. A celebration of her life will be held in February or March - details to be published.
