KALLAS, Nicholas (Nick)
November 18, 1922 - February 20, 2013
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Nicholas. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years Panagiota, Nick is survived by his children George (Anna), Katerina (Dimitri) and by his adored grandchildren Nikos, Penny (George,Chloe), Yianni, Niko and Ria. Nick was born in Lakonia, Greece and immigrated to Montreal in 1962 with his wife and young children. In 1970 the family moved to North Vancouver where Nick lived for 43 years. His generosity, kindness, sense of humour and wisdom will be missed by too, too many friends and family members. Prayers will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 7 p.m. Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 4541 Boundary Road, Vancouver, where the funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. Reverend Evangelos Aravantinos officiating. Burial to follow at North Vancouver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LGH Foundation online at or by mail at 231 East 15th Street, North Vancouver B.C. V7L 2L7.
