August 9, 1935 - August 1, 2013
After a long illness, Dick passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Senior's Village Residence. He is survived by his wife Patricia, brother Curtis (Arlane), nieces Kristin (Dan) Johnson, Michelle (Chris) Roper, Sheri (Mike) Griffin, Lisa Mulzet, Debra Mulzet, cousins Delma Hemming and Mary- Ellen Haney and six great-nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Bonita (Harold) Mulzet. Dick graduated from King George Secondary School, spent his early working years in the General Insurance business in Vancouver, then later in the Transportation department of the Caribou-Chilcotin School District and finally retired to Gabriola Island in 1996. He is lovingly missed by family and friends. No service by request. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
