MORRIS, Muriel Virginia (Nee Jay)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Muriel Morris announces her peaceful passing at Vancouver General Hospital on December 8, 2013, following a brief illness. Born on August 4, 1923, she was very proud to have attained the age of ninety. Aunt Muriel was a member of the pioneer family of Sam and Laura Jay of Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island. She delighted in being aunt, great aunt, and grand aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Myrna (Fred), Gregory, Terry, Pamela, and Cynthia (Steven) Russell and Iain are grateful for the time they were able to spend with Aunt Muriel. She enjoyed luncheons and dinners with the Jay and Morris (Tim (Helena), Hope and Zoe; Maureen, Laura (Andy) and Sheila) families. Aunt Muriel was predeceased by her parents, her eleven brothers and sisters, and her dear husband, Charles (Paddy) Morris. She will be greatly missed by her many relatives and friends in Victoria, Vancouver, and California. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
