Irma Mildenhall February 7, 1921 - January 21, 2014 Irma (Jo) was born in Brackendale, B.C. and passed away in her sleep in Burnaby, B.C. after a short battle with cancer. Predeceased by parents Henry & Elisa Sellons and husband of 61 years, Frank (Shorty). Lovingly remembered by daughter Janice (Bernie), son Russ (Teresa), grandchildren Britte, Lesley (Al) and Michael, and great-granddaughter Jessica. Many relatives and friends in England, New Zealand, Germany, U.S., Australia and Canada. Jo and Shorty travelled much of their lives, square danced, loved casinos and volunteered with the RCMP and others. She was secretary to a VPD Police Chief, Lawyers, North Fraser Harbour Commission and also worked for Burnaby in Mayor's office and Planning, Burnaby Schools, and BC Hydro. A special thank you to her long time physician, Dr. Steven Hansen, staff at Langley Memorial Hospital and St. Michaels Hospice in Burnaby. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 29th from 1:30 p.m. at Parkway Estates, 5360 205th Street, Langley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society, St. Michaels Hospice or the charity of your choice.
