After all these year Eric you still have a place in our memory. Hopefully still wearing the lovely red gemstone ring you bought from us so long ago. Shane has passed now - you might bump into him. I'm still living in Steveston. Donna was a special sweetie. Love to YOU

I was just looking through some family pics, my Moms 50th Birthday. They were all there Mum, Thelma, Tom, Chub, Joan and Eric and now they're gone. God help the heavens with that bunch up there, it will never be the same!
I think the last time I seen Eric was at the gift opening of my wedding 1989.
My deepest condolences to Donna, Michael and Graham.

It is with great sadness that my wife Georgina and I just now learned of Eric's passing.
I first met and became friends with Eric when I was a teenager back in the early 1970's. We both had a fascination with comedy magic and I remember all of the stories, stunts and jokes he would regale me with at every meeting. One typical Eric-ism was when he completely fooled and amazed a large group of magicians with a fantastic coin routine - making it pass from hand to hand and magically and impossibly vanish and appear many times at super speed. What they didn't realize (except a couple of us in the know) was that Eric had pocketed the coin immediately after first showing it - the other two or three minutes were just play acting with absolutely nothing in his hands! I have many other stories of Eric that I have shared over the years with others and will continue to do.
He brought happiness and smiles to many people during his lifetime which I know will be returned to him in spades in the afterlife.
Our sincere condolences to Donna and the rest of the Lenz clan.

Eric was a friendly & caring next door neighbour to my parents John & Ollie. On any given day you could find Eric & John sitting together sharing licorice, chocolate bars & Pepsi. It was known that Eric didn't like to do gardening or mow the lawn. When my dad felt it was time to cut his own lawn, he'd give Eric a call. This meant that unfortunately Eric had to follow his lead. Over the years, the pair became expert wasp nest destroyers. Eric had to suit up in full wasp destroying gear. It was such a production to watch, but they got the job done with no injuries to report.
My mom, brother & I fondly remember Eric's funny/silly nature and friendly disposition.
We are glad to have spent many years with Eric and his family as neighbours and friends. RIP Eric.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Lahti
