Dec. 16, 1940 - Sept. 18, 2017
Doug aka VE7APU, passed away after several years of bravely suffering from MSA (Multiple Systems Atrophy). Doug retired early and divided his time between Sun City West, AZ. and Surrey. He was called the 'father of packet radio". Predeceased by parents Doug and Jean, leaving behind brother Ken (Nancy), niece Elyssa (Len) nephew Dan (Keely), and dear friend Rose. He traveled extensively and had many accomplishments. He will be missed. No service at his request.

Doug was a good friend of mine for the last 20 years. He influenced my thinking quite a lot. I discovered RT Television which broadened my thinking through Doug. I'll miss him.
