It is difficult, no, unimaginable, to carry on when some one who has been such a large part of your life is suddenly and inexplicably gone.

But it is up to each of us to continue our lives and to remember Bruce.

Bruce was part of my family, or I should say, those I consider my family.

He will be missed.

Time may not heal this pain. My hope for the Pinkard family is that Time will lessen the pain, but never lessen the mememory of Bruce.

Godspeed.

Uncle Bruce,
I will miss you so much. You always encouraged me to keep going with school and to work my hardest with everything. You were one of the only people who really cared enough to sit down and let me talk to you about everything that was happening. You've given me some of the greatest advice, and I will always carry that with me. I will cherish the memories I have of spending summers at your house with you and Aunt Stacey. Going to the beach to go body surfing with you was one of my favorite things to do. You were such an amazing uncle, and a second father to me. I will miss you every day until we may meet again. YOu were such an amazing person, always full of life, and always looking for the good in everyone.
Love you always

Uncle Bruce ~ You were such an inspiration to me growing up from knee-high-to-a-grasshopper to into my early 20's. You were and are such a strong beautiful soul that will be missed by all of us! Even though I wasn't able to always make the family reunions and stuff...I always thought of you, missed you, and told stories to my family about you! I love you! I know you are smiling and in a better place!!! Can't wait to see you again in heaven someday! Big Hug!!!

Bruce had that indefinable “something” that made him standout. You couldn't necessarily put your finger on it . It wasn't just talent, looks, or personality. There was something more about Bruce that gave him an advantage. Others said "I don't Know what it is, But Bruce has "Got it!" and I know I'm going to miss him! Until we meet again my friend, Rest in Peace! May God give the family strength and understanding to see them thru this.

Stacey, Kyle & Kori,
It is with a heavy heart, tears in my eyes & a lump in my throat that I send my deepest condolences. I'm absolutely devasted at the passing of my friend and St. Johns co-worker, Bruce Pinkard. He was a gentle soul. I just saw him 2 weeks ago & we kibbitzed about work, our bodies hurting, Stacey, the kids when we would run into each other again @ Dr Katouzian's and the we gave each other a big hug & I kissed him on his right cheek & forehead. I asked God to protect him as I felt it in my heart that he wasn't feeling well that particular day. We never know when God is going to call us home & its nothing we can prepare for. Stacey, when we spoke the following day and you said you weren't ready yo be a widow @ 48...I felt my heart breaking into pieces for you. We too had the pleasure of working together, sharing stories about our kids, families & husbands. Never thinking it would come to this & praying that the kids would grow up & stop giving us grief AND they have! I know I'm just rambling but I need to. Can hardly wait to see you tomorrow though I wish it were under different circumstances. Press into our heavenly Father Stacey. Lean on him during this time of sorrow and lean not on your own understanding because none of it will ever make sense but apparently God needed him now. May your beloved husband R.I.P.
until you meet him again in eternal love.
With Love & Blessings

To The Pinkard Family,

I'm shocked, even more, saddened to hear of Bruce's passing. Bruce was many different things to many people in his life.Devoted husband, father, brother, family member...or just great friend.
I knew Bruce since we were kids running the streets of Oxnard. Then again, who didn't know Bruce and the Pinkard Brothers. Carl,Gary,Glenn,Brian and Bruce...proud to say you are all my brothers. Even though our life's experiences and callings have taken us in different directions, you will always be family to me.
Bruce's untimely passing will leave a tremendous void in our lives. But his life has left us with so many great memories! His great sense of humor, quiet strength, devotion to family and love of life will live on in those that were close to him.
To my Pinkard brothers and family, Bruce will certainly be missed. "Try not to think of him as gone away...think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost- and he was loved so much."
