Robert Lee Cornwall Sr., born January 19, 1948, has gone to be with Jesus on February 10, 2013. Robert was greeted by his mother, Mary Jane, and father, George Cornwall, Edgar and Mildred Ballard, Eugene Ballard, and many more loved ones that have gone to also walk with Jesus. Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Cornwall; his three children and spouses, Robert Cornwall, Jr., Michael (Elizabeth) Cornwall, Rebecca (Thomas) Richmond; and six grandchildren, Dakota, Robert, Mackenzie, Joey, Mikayla, and Anthony; brother, David Cornwall; and sister, Michelle Bechtol.
Robert married Marilyn on June 26, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked at Northrop for over 30 years and retired in 2007. He was very involved with his church and serving the Lord. He was able to serve in many ways by helping fix broken things to sharing testimony about Gods love. Robert will surely be missed by his family, friends, and the many that he touched spiritually. As one of his grandchildren said, "Heaven just got a whole lot better." A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. Services will be held at Cornerstone Church, 379 Science Drive, Moorpark, Calif. 93021. In lieu of flowers, we ask that Roberts dream of watching the church expand and be able to serve more come true. We ask that donations be made to the building fund at Cornerstone Church at the address above.
