Mark Patrick Goldberg(1985 - 2012)

Mark Patrick Goldberg, 27, of Camarillo gently passed away on December 27, 2012 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous fight against cancer.

Born a superhero on February 16, 1985 in White Plains, New York, he had been a resident of Ventura County for the last 14 years. Mark was a graduate of Oxnard High School, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Entertainment and Game Design from ITT Technical Institute.

After conquering his coursework, Mark became a part of the ETS Express family. Marks love of gaming and all things fantasy and sci-fi were windows into his great imagination and creativity, and the keys to his burgeoning talent for 3-D video game design. He was rarely seen without a smile, a joke, or playing some kind of lovable or charming character to always brighten your day. Mark was as likely to passionately debate football as politics, or to have his player character Juan Brutus Santana and his clan gaining experience points in a gaming adventure.

Most importantly, Mark was always about family. Whether in sport, in fantasy games, or in life, he was always surrounded with friends and family that adored sharing time with him. He was as devoted to his teammates and work family as he was his cherished loved ones.

With the most open heart and spirit imaginable, he put everyone ahead of himself, and through all of life's challenges, Mark never lost sight of his spirit of adventure and childlike wonderment.

His loving family includes Gerald, Teri Joy, Lori, Nina, Danny, Jody, Holly, Devon, Alan, Guy, Catlyn, Leah, Gabriele, Stephanie, Alisza, Taylor, Riley, Max, DJ, Theresa, Francisco, Abby, Martha, Jessica, Guillermo, Decker, Samuel, Wendy, A.J., Lee, Aileen, Tom & the team at UCLA, the extraordinary ETS family and the soon to join us, Scarlett and Lilly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marks honor to the incredible Hirshberg Foundation (
