2010
Ken was born on Feb. 22, 1964 in Belleville, N.J. He died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 and went home to be with the Lord.
As a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, he touched so many lives. In addition to his many years with Environmental Industries/ Valley Crest, he spent countless hours and seasons devoted to coaching soccer and baseball to youth of all ages. He was that coach who not only taught skills and sportsmanship but also instilled in all the love of the game. He truly found pleasure in the success of others. His impeccable sense of humor, infectious laugh and giving heart will never be forgotten.
Ken was the beloved husband of Sue Sander, loving son of Dorothy Van Derripe and Bill (Sue) Van Derripe, cherished brother of Scott (Penny) Van Derripe and Linda (Kevin) OConnell, and fun-loving uncle of Kara, Jack, and Callie OConnell, Malia Van Derripe, and Jimmy and Casey Harden. Ken is also survived by Kelly (Rusty) Eddy, Tom (Shelly) Hansen, Chris (John) Teeling, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends of Ken Van Derripe are invited to gather for a service to celebrate his life at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12 in the historic Chapel of the Islands at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road in Camarillo, 805-482-1959.
