Ruth Pearl Lane, 85, of Oxnard passed away at St. Johns Hospital on Oct. 23, 2010. Ruth was born Ruth Pearl Akers Oct. 10, 1925 to Elmer Frederick Akers and Bessie May Nicholas Akers in Erie, Colo. She married Henry Lane, Jr. (Joe), June 23, 1944.
She is survived by her two children, James Lane of Victorville and JoAnn Stickley of Oxnard and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth will be sorely missed by her entire family as she was a wonderful person with remarkable talents and words of wisdom and advice.
The family would like to thank the ICU nursing staff at St. Johns for their tender care of Ruth. We also want to thank Mary Lane who was Ruth's caregiver for many months. Your patience and love for mom was remarkable.
In closing we want to thank Dr. John R. Walters for helping us all cope with moms end of life. Private family graveside services are planned as Ruth requested.
