Beatrice Granger, 80, died at home in Thousand Oaks on Sept. 26 after a brief battle with leukemia. Bea has lived in Ventura County since 1977, after retiring from her 25-year career as translator for the CIA. She loved to travel-- around the world with tour groups, north or south to visit her niece and nephews, and occasionally to Las Vegas. She was actively involved in the Serra Club, and faithfully attended her church, St. Pashcal Baylon.
She is survived by her niece, Dianne, and nephews, David, Thomas, Robin and Timothy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, at St. Pashcal Baylon Church, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley. Open-casket viewing will be at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.
