Patricia Graves Obituary
Ventura, CA
Patricia Scroggins Graves passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at age 88 from an ongoing illness. She went peacefully and surrounded by family.
She was born and raised in Ventura. It was her true home, always returning after living in other places such as Texas, Washington and South America. During WWII, her family moved to Graham, TX, where she graduated from high school. Upon returning to Ventura after the war, she attended business school in Santa Barbara, CA. Pat was divorced, fiercely independent and always enjoyed a good laugh. She worked hard her whole life, raising two children by herself which was quite an undertaking in those days. But she was determined that her kids obtain a good education and knew the value of hard work. Her children will be eternally grateful to her for this.
Pat is survived by her son Kenneth Bishop, daughter Karen Bishop and son-in-law Dr. B. Chandrasekhar. According to her wishes, Pat will be cremated and there will be a private memorial held by the family. If you wish to memorialize Pat, she greatly favored charities that benefitted our US war veterans.
