Christopher Schmitt Obituary
Simi Valley lost a great man early Sunday morning. Christopher Daniel Schmitt passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 after a long battle with multiple myloma cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracy; his father, Bill; his older brother, Craig; younger brother, Eric; younger sister, Lisa; nephews, Matthew, Michael and Daniel; nieces, Jillian and Amanda.
The memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, Dec. 12 at the Rose Family Funeral Home, and will be followed by a party in celebration of Chris's life.
Chris was a big part of the Ventura County Equestrian community, as well as an avid dirt bike rider. His devotion and love of horses funded the Gymkhana club (Simi Valley Riders), which will forever be a part of his legacy. Chris will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
