Dear Family,
November 30th our dad breathed his last breath. It still doesn't feel real. When I talk to each of you we all feel the same, something or should I say someone is missing. For me personally I have never felt grief like this. Cliffy moments strike at the most unusal times, in a grocery store, a restaurant or on an airplane. Plain and simple "I miss my dad and I know you do too.

Dad,
It took a very special man to marry our Mom with a ready made family of three kids. You must have loved her very much. From the very beginning you were "our dad". When the other kids came along we were never treated any differently. You and Mom have always been there to help whoever needed it. Food to eat, a place to stay, money - you name it. We all love you and will miss you very much. Love forever - Carol

Dad - It took a very special man to marry our Mom with a ready made family of three kids. You must have loved her very much. You were our Dad from the very beginning. When the other kids came along, we were never treated any differently than they were. No one would have known that you weren't our biological father. I hope you knew how much that meant to us. We will miss you forever Dad.

Grandpa,
There is so much to say and I am going to try and put what I remember into words....
You summed up the definition of
"Family Man." You provided for all of us in so many ways, during tough times you brought smiles and laughter to me and my brothers. I remember Me,you Rick and Nick sitting out on the porch at the house in Washington talking about random things...your fishing trips with them or the ones you used to take alone, mariners, weather, your truck, having many laughs or us all in the living room with you on your blue recliner while watching TV.
Walking by you and you poking us in ours sides saying "hey kid."
I am so thankful that we all had such an awesome and memorable relationship with you.....I love you so much Gramps and words cant describe how thankful I am to you and all you did for us...You were the father figure to us when ours was absent...you helped mold us all into who we are today...Thank you...We love you so much and we miss you so much.....
From your trucker hats, sfafford T's and flannel shirts with light denim jeans down to the shoes that velcro....was nothing but heart.....and even though our hearts ache there are so many unforgettable memories that we will have forever....love you

Dear Dad,
We had your sevice today, it was beautiful. I think you would have been proud. You are so loved and I know you felt that love the last two weeks of your life. I feel so helpless right now, this hurts more than I ever imagined. It's so final and I don't want it to be. I think the reality of it all is setting in and I don't know what else to do besides tell the truth about how I feel. I love you Dad (aka)Cliff Colyar C.O.L.Y.A.R

I have missed you so much already. You had a routine and I keep waiting for you to go out to the front porch or to come out of your room. I hear a whistling that sounds like your hearing aids and I am looking for you. I know you know you were loved I just don't know that you really know how much or how grateful I am for all you have done for me all through out my life. I am grateful that you are not in any more pain. That brings me the most comfort and I have so many memories and you have given our whole family lots of those, so we have lots to share with each other. We have pulled together and healed some old wounds through this. I love you dearly Gramps.

Dear Dad,
I miss you, your smile, and yes even seeing you sit at your spot on the porch to have a cigarette. Things just are not the same at the house without you.
When I was little I thought you were the strongest man on the planet. Your last day with us one more time you showed us your strength in the decision you made. I know you left here knowing how much you are loved. It's comforting to me to know your no longer in pain. You will always be the strongest man on the planet to me. I love you. Barbara
